Protect Your License!
|
If your driver's license was taken on the night you were arrested, you should have received an 8" x 10" piece of paper known as Form AST This is a temporary permit to drive and lasts for 45 days. At the end of the 45 days your license will be suspended unless you act NOW.
You only have 10 days to try to stop the proposed driver's license suspension. Whether you are accused of reusing the breath test or whether your alleged results are over .08%, you must act timely (10 days) to try to get your license back. It is NOT related to your Court date or the DUI charge.
WARNING! If you refused the test or were charged with refusing the test you face an automatic suspension of your license for ninety (90) days to five (5) years. You have ten (10) days from the date of your arrest to file a "request for administrative hearing" with the Department of Public Safety. Likewise, if you submitted to a test which yields a result of .08 or more, you can also be suspended for ninety (90) days to five (5) years.
Contact our office immediately to protect your license.
