Emily L. Baggett
|

Emily L. Baggett joined Price and Flowers Law Firm as an associate in April 2005. She is a member of the Madison County/Huntsville Bar Association and is a General Member of the National College for DUI Defense.
Ms. Baggett graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2003. During her final year at Cumberland, she received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award in Trial Advocacy and the Michael V. Rasmussen Advocate of the Year Award. While attending Cumberland, she was a member of Cumberland’s National Trial Team for two years and served as Articles Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy where she was awarded the Journal’s Goozee, King & Horsley Senior Paper Award for The Standards Applied to the Admission of Soft Science Experts in State Courts.
Before attending Cumberland, Ms. Baggett received her B.S. Degree from Mississippi University for Women in 2000 with Honors in Accounting. While at MUW, she served as Student Government Association President and was a Centennial Scholar in the Honors College.
Ms. Baggett began her legal career in the Madison County Circuit Court as a law clerk to Judge Loyd H. Little, Jr. before becoming an Assistant District Attorney for Madison County. As an Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony driving under the influence cases as well as a variety of other traffic and misdemeanor related offenses. In January 2005, she completed the National District Attorneys Association Prosecuting the Impaired Driver Course.
Ms. Baggett served as secretary of the Madison County/Huntsville Bar Association for the term of 2005-06.
Ms. Baggett is the Judges Chair for Morgan County’s Junior Miss and an active member of the First Baptist Church, Decatur, Alabama.
